BGSB has participated in shadowing the CILIP Carnegie Medal for over 15 years and this year’s group is busy reading this year’s shortlist of eight titles.
The CILIP Carnegie Medal is awarded annually to the writer of an outstanding book in English written for children and young people and is judged by librarians from local authorities and schools.
The shortlist includes some of the best quality and challenging reads published during the previous year.
The group members, volunteers from Miss Stansfield’s Year 8 English Set, will all read as many of the shortlisted titles and then come to a decision on the BGSB favourite before the official result on 18th June.
Can anyone read all eight titles? Can BGSB successfully predict the winner?
