1st XI

The 1st XI started well and matched Cheadle in the first half. However, as the 1st XI tired gaps appeared which Cheadle took full advantage off. The team must continue to work hard as the results lately are not a true reflection of the quality that the 1st XI are producing.

The U15s found themselves in another evenly matched game with Harry Graham-Scott scoring in the first half to make the score 1-1. Both teams continued to attack but neither could unlock two well organised defences and the final score finished 1-1.

The U13s put a mighty effort in despite being without four regular players down to illness. Playing with 10 men against the 11 players of Cheadle Hulme, BGS defended for most of the half, only falling behind to a deflected goal off the bar just before the half time whistle. We went for it in the second half but just could clinch the equaliser and this resulted in us being left exposed at the back and the ten men of Bury eventually succumb and conceded further. A strong effort against a very impressive Cheadle team containing many academy players. Onwards and upwards from here!

The U12s side continued to show signs of improvement with a 3-2 win over Cheadle. Some excellent attacking football made it 2 nil at half-time, both goals coming from Hitchen. The second half saw Cheadle get themselves back into proceedings, but some excellent link up play and a great strike from Elashaleb saw BGS see out victory. Well done to every boy involved, a really good team performance.
