Another exciting week for Pre-School as we launch our BGS BEES Toddler sessions.
The Pre-School staff are excited to deliver the following from 9.15am to 10.15am weekly:
Mondays - Story Time
Wednesdays - Stay & play
Fridays - Gym Tots
The sessions are for children from 6 months to 4 Years, parents stay and enjoy refreshments and of course have an opportunity to sit back and relax. There is no need to book and I hope to see some of our parents too with their friends and families. More details are on our website or please ask about this at the Infant Reception.
The school is evolving and literally ‘buzzing’ with excitement. The children are a little nearer to the end of term and so are continuing to prepare for end of term assessments, concerts and sporting events. I am not sure where their energy is coming from but I assure you there is an abundance of it! As I type this newsletter I am entertained by the songs from Peter Pan … and yes I do know all the words. The infants are practising for their concert too … lots of Pirates and Mermaid discussions are ongoing around school. Many things to look forward to!
The Year 6 Girls and Boys have been learning valuable life saving skills this week. They have taken part in a CPR training session led by Mrs Mckittrick our School Nurse, Form Teachers and members of BGS teaching staff trained in First Aid. The session covered checking for danger, assessing if the casualty is breathing, administering CPR and how to put a casualty into the recovery position.
All the pupils performed brilliantly and highlighted that we may possibly have some future nurses and doctors in BGS Year 6!
Well done everyone.
