Firstly I would like to congratulate you all for the sterling effort you made in getting your sons to school throughout this week. Although I know the boys love the snow, the freezing conditions and high winds made for great difficulties for all stakeholders in BGS.
We managed one of our two planned parents' evenings and will announce the re-scheduled date early next week. For those who made it in yesterday, both staff and boys really went to town with their World Book Day costumes and I would like to thank all parents for their efforts with this.
We should not be distracted however by the array of costumes on display. World Book Day is an opportunity to remember the importance of actually picking up a book and reading. Moreover, the magical memories that can be made through reading together as families can last a lifetime and are an essential part of the learning process. Please do take the time to sit down, lie down or curl up together with a good book!
My thanks once again for attending our #LoveArt exhibition at the end of last half term. Sale of the art work in aid of the NSPCC raised over £385. If you would like to still purchase your son's '1 of 1', please send in your donation before the end of next week.
Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
