Given the snow flurries this last week, yet again, we all thought this could delay our trip to London!
However, despite it being extremely cold all trains were running as planned and on Thursday 31st January, 45 pupils from Years 9-11 GCSE and Year 13 A Level headed off to the 'Big Smoke' to visit Tate Modern and Tate Britain.
Each examination year group had separate tasks to do ranging from photography, observational drawings and written analytical tasks; every pupil worked exceptionally hard producing a body of work which they will submit for the GCSE/A Level courses.
After a long and productive day we were then hit with the news that our train home was cancelled due to a cable failure...! Luckily, our contacts at Vrigin Trains got us on the next train home and First Class at that! Cant be bad!
As ever, all pupils were a credit to the school and I am looking forward to seeing the work developed from this trip.
