Well done to this week's Stars of the Week!
This week is a hectic one for the Summer Concert busy bees.
Everyone looks fantastic in their bee costumes ready to take part in the performances this week.
Bees usually incite a great deal of drama and commotion in the classroom. We have been talking about the importance bees and how like most animals they are more scared of us than we are of them. It is important to stay calm and quiet when bees are nearby. We talked about flowers and nectar and pollination. Bees are so important for the growth of most of our fruits and vegetables. An essential part of our ecosystem. We are respecting and protecting the fabulous bees.
Bees and flowers everywhere. This week in Year 1 has been a ‘hive’ of activity with our summer concerts.
The Year 1 children have worked so hard on their concert and performed wonderfully. Thank you to all the children for learning their lines and the parents for all the costumes. It is so important for our younger children to have the chance to perform for different audiences. We have been continuing our Memory Box topic looking at different school times and daily lives. An update on our trip to the Portland Basin museum will follow in next week’s newsletter.
This week it has beeeeeee-n a very buzzy week!
The Year 2 children have been preparing and performing their concert ‘A Bee Musical’. The children have worked so hard learning their lines, singing their songs and adding some amazing acting. They all performed wonderfully and we hoped all the grown ups enjoyed it as much as we did! We are extremely proud of all our children and would like to thank them for learning their lines so well. We would also like to thank our parents for providing such wonderful costumes!
