This term, Year 7 boys have been learning about the tradition of samba music in Brazil.
They have learnt how to play a range of samba instruments including the surdo drum and agogo bells and have composed their own samba percussion piece.
In Assembly on Tuesday, their hard work culminated in an assembly, led by Mrs Norman.
As a whole year group, they sang a rousing rendition of La Bamba and performed a traditional Brazilian samba heard annually at the Rio Carnival.
All boys had also taken part in a samba mask-making competition and the finalists were judged by their form tutors and Head of Year, Mrs Howard.
The overall competition winners were Rowan and Amour who were awarded gift vouchers.
