What an exciting afternoon for Bury Grammar School!
It was wonderful to see the Infant School transformed into a colourful Spring-themed Easter Eggstravaganza and we were thrilled to see so many visitors in School!
The children were ecstatic to visit the friendly petting farm – especially to meet the photogenic goats ‘Thelma and Louise’ - and were really interested to learn about all the different animals including chickens with chicks, rabbits, sheep, turkeys, goats with a kid, geese, a calf, donkey and pig!
A visit to the Easter Bunny to receive an Easter egg was a particular highlight and the Easter Bunny was very impressed with how polite all the children were!
An array of exciting Easter activities entertained the children including making an Easter bonnet, designing and making bunny headbands and Easter bags, a challenging Easter egg hunt, hand painting, looking at hen’s eggs and hook-a-duck!
Talented BGS musicians from Juniors through to Sixth Form filled the hall with a selection of wonderful performances and the Sixth Form helpers were fantastic ambassadors for the School.
Thank you to all the staff and pupils for their fantastic hand-made Easter decorations and a huge thank you must go to Balloons by Design based in Ramsbottom Sweet Shop for the amazing balloon arches, The All-in-One Garden Centre for the beautiful flowers and The Mobile Farm for bringing their fantastic animals.
We can’t wait for Easter Eggstravaganza next year!
