Boys' School raise over £1,000 for the Samaritans

The Boys’ Senior School welcomed Kate and Chris from the Bury Branch of the Samaritans to their Assembly on Monday morning, 20 November.

Our visitors came to collect a cheque for £1072.21, which the Boys’ Senior and Junior Schools raised by holding a non-uniform day in October.

Kate addressed the Assembly, telling the boys about the valuable work that the Samaritans do.

Their aim is to reduce the number of people committing suicide by providing those in need with somebody that they can talk to at any time of the day.

After the Assembly, Kate and Chris were presented with the cheque by William Mau, Juba Lawal, Liam Duffy and Samiq Sheikh.
