Date: Saturday 14th October
Opposition: Altrincham Grammar School
On Saturday 14th October, all fixtures were against Altrincham Grammar School.
Despite an excellent performance from 1st XI goalkeeper Matthew Hyde, and a conciliation goal for Joshua Delahunty for the 2nd XI, both teams suffered heavy defeats.
Both senior teams could have learned something from an excellent, disciplined defensive performance from the U15s who spent much of game defending. However, the U15s took their chances on the break and two goals each for Sam Bird and Oli Evans was enough for a 4-2 win.
Despite having a number of players missing through injury, the U14s continued their impressive start and were clinical in front of goal with a 6-3 away win. The goalscorers were two each for Harry Graham-Scott and Isaac Lynskey and one each for Ethan Harrison and Thomas Sullivan.
A poor first half performance from the U13s gave them too much to do in the second half. Nevertheless, the U13s showed resilience and a second-half hat-trick for Ben Darlington and one for Leo Davies made the scoreline closer, but sadly it was not enough as the U13s suffered their first defeat of the season.
The U12s were disappointed to be going into half-time 1-0 down as they had created a number of opportunities during the first half. Unfortunately, the U12s were punished for these missed chances as Altrincham extended their lead in the second half, and the U12s suffered their first league defeat of the season.
