Last weekend, BGS Boys played in a block fixture against Bolton school.
Unfortunately it proved to be a difficult weekend, losing six and only coming away with one draw.
The U12s put up a strong battle and went in to half time at 2-2, only to have fitness get the better of us in the second half.
The U13s team had a very close game which Bury dominated for large periods. However, Bolton stole the win late in the game.
The U14s played a very impressive side and definitely had the upper edge, leading with one minute left in the game until a moment of unfortunate events led to Bolton equalising with the final kick of the game.
In the U15s match, the teams went into half-time level at 0-0, and either side could have won. However, a late charge from Bolton meant that the final five minutes would tell the main story of the match.
For the senior teams, both were close matches but both were losses.
The U15s faced Elton in their first match of the season on Thursday.
A dominant performance from start to finish saw the BGS team leap out to a 25-13 lead at half-time.
Excellent ball movement and strong defensive play saw the lead stretched further in the second half, with the opposition only managing one basket in the final 20 minutes of play.
Randhawa led the scoring with 14, with Toker and Hyde each contributing 10 points in a 55-15 victory.
