BGS opens its doors to budding biologists and future physicists

Year 6 children from surrounding local schools joined us on Saturday for our first Science Stars classes.

They were amazed by the range of equipment in our labs, and soon set about experimenting under the expert guidance of our Science teachers.

Girls dissected squids and wrote their names with the ink they discovered in the squids' ink sacs. Next they moved on to the physics labs, experimenting using light kits and prisms. They finished the session by creating their own 'sunset in a bottle'.

Meanwhile in the Boys' School, Dr Wong and Mr Curry led the way as boys created both fizzers and designed their own packaging. They were enthusiastic and left looking forward to their next visit to BGS.
