As the children look forward to a well-earned rest and recharging of batteries, I cannot help but look back at the many events, activities, concerts, visits, trips, sporting fixtures, Book Week to name but a few and wonder how we fit it all in! School is a hive of activity from stepping in the door in the morning to leaving at the end of a day. Waving our Preschool children off today as they venture into Manchester to participate in the Chinese New Year Festivities fills my heart with pride and shows that we make the most of every minute of every day. The children were thoroughly excited and ready to absorb the atmosphere of the Chinese festivities!
On Thursday morning Mrs Dickson prepared a musical treat for the whole school. Each class presented a song they had been working on this half term and the hall was filled with heartfelt joy. The children beamed as their performances were enjoyed by all.
The infant and Junior Schools participated in a whole site Non Uniform day this week in support of Grace’s Place. In addition to this the children sold their bespoke handmade bracelets to raise money for the NSPCC. Both charities are close to our hearts.
Parent Forums for the Pre-School, Infant and Junior Schools have met this week. It is great to meet with parents and share ideas and points of view. Moving forward we hope these meetings will be well supported and help to drive the school forward. I will be sending a letter out at the start of the new term inviting all parents to the next forums, we hope you will be able to join us.
We hope you have a great half term and look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 27th February.
Thank you to Mrs Ingham for her continued support in 4K.
Best wishes to Mrs Booth and family whom as always have our support.
A polite reminder
Please only allow your child to have trainers with laces if they are able to tie them independently. Trainers with velcro are much more suitable and practical for Infant children.
