Girls Physics success in British Physics Olympiad

The Girls' School Physics Department is pleased to announce some successes in the recent British Physics Olympiad, organised by The University of Oxford.

Four girls from Year 11, Saba Khalil, Sana Khalil, Emily Lancaster and Samira Tasneem, entered the prestigious competition and gained Commendation certificates.

We hope that the GCSE Challenge gave them a taste of the problem-solving skills they will need in their future A Level Physics courses.

Two Year 12 students took part in the AS Challenge; Maria Bracegirdle was awarded a Commendation and Elizabeth Ealing achieved a Bronze Award.

This stands Elizabeth in good stead as she hopes to go on to study Physics at university.

Well done to all our Physicists!
