Girls' Sports Report - Week Ending 16/03/2018

Huge congratulations to the Year 9 Netball team who played with resilience and commitment to win the Bury Rally.

Great leadership from the captain Iman Ul Haq and we were very proud of the sportsmanship and the dignified, humble way in which the team progressed effortlessly through the tournament.

Nine Under 11 BGS girls played in a Bury League triangular high-five fixture against Woodbank Primary School and Christ Church Ainsworth on Wednesday.

The girls represented BGS in these high-five matches where BGS were victorious. They were a great set of games and it was a fantastic team effort.

BGS 17-2 Woodbank Primary

BGS 17-5 Christ Church Ainsworth

Well done to:

Cross Country

After a very delayed start to the cross country season, due to the bad weather, the first round finally got off to a flying start at Derby High School yesterday.

All of the BGS girls finished in the top 30, an incredible achievement!

Amazing performances from all of our girls, please congratulate the following:

Katie Burke - 1st
Maddie Gibson - 10th
Tolu Akinnayajo - 17th
Sammy Jones - 18th
Katie Robins - 30th

We are awaiting to hear confirmation of the final results from the race to see where BGS are in the overall rankings.
