Well done to this week's Stars of the Week!
Year 1 have had a fantastic start to the new year.
We are so pleased to see how quickly the children have settled into the new systems and routines we have in class.
This week we have launched our new class topic ‘Paws, Claws And Whiskers’ with an exciting drama session.
To start, the children looked at all the amazing animals they had seen on their Reception trip to Blackpool Zoo and talked together about how they moved and behaved.
Next, they rehearsed acting as different creatures.
Finally, they performed these in pairs and the rest of the class had to guess which animal they were. They were amazing!
Most of the animals from the zoo were included in the drama but a key favourite was the big cats!
Year 2 have settled into their new classes fantastically and have been enjoying their new routines.
They are especially looking forward to their swimming lessons which will be on Tuesday, Week 1, for 2 Purple and Tuesday, Week 2, for 2 Green.
Our topic this half term is Towers, Turrets and Tunnels and the children have been thinking about what we know about Castles, where they were built and why.
