The role of Geometric Abstraction derived from post-war America and involves a vast range of philosophical, painterly and conceptual approaches to the classical components of the geometric image.
A selection of GCSE and A Level students recently planned and painted their compositions using mathematical forms and circle theorems.
The paintings are all acrylic on wood and measure 4’ x 2’ in size. The depth of skills required throughout the day was outstanding and the students are to be congratulated for their hard work and excellent outcomes.
