Ahead of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, boys and girls from the Senior and Junior Schools were delighted and thrilled to be invited to view a rare replica set of some of the most famous and iconic items in the Crown Jewels.
These were on display in Peter Jackson the Jeweller in The Rock, Bury.
This impressive collection includes St Edward's Crown, the Imperial State Crown, Queen Victoria's Crown and Princess Diana's tiara.
These are usually housed in the vaults of the Tower of London and only allowed to be removed when being used by the Monarch for a State Occasion.
Her Majesty the Queen has the most extensive and precious collection of jewellery in the world and a stunning display of replicas of some of her most treasured necklaces, earrings and brooches were also on display.
Pupils and teachers were thrilled to be given the rare privilege to try on some of the crowns and tiaras and all agreed that the whole experience had been very special indeed.
