On Tuesday, our pupils were visited by Paul Kenyon, Old Boy and BAFTA winning investigative journalist, presenter and author.
He told us about reporting live as historic events unfolded before him and about exposing the corruption of the rich and powerful.
Paul explained that journalism is a way of life, rather than a job, but full of rewards for young, energetic writers and investigators with a desire to travel and an interest in the world around them.
We were also told how a healthy sense of mischief helps a good journalist too!
Paul’s lively speech was entertaining and inspiring, and gave a fascinating insight into what exactly is needed behind the scenes to create a good documentary.
