What's been happening in the Infant School - 12/07/2019

Reception were well prepared for Sports Day.

We had practised for the races with Miss Hall in our PE lessons. We had our sun cream on and our water bottles were full. Reception thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the events and particularly having parents as very encouraging and appreciative spectators and supporters. The children were extremely content at the end of the day, wearing their fabulous medals and eating their rocket ice lollies. Some of the children recorded their experiences by drawing fantastic pictures in the creative area. Brilliant!

Year 1

Year 1 had a lovely time meeting their new Year 2 teachers last week.

They came back excited by the new challenges that await them. This week the Year 1 children joined the rest of the school in a final non uniform day. It is lovely to see children joining in whole school initiatives. We have held our end of year parties as well, celebrating our successes together. The Year 1 team would like to wish everyone a lovely summer and thank the children for being so amazing!

Year 2

Year 2 have had a busy week getting ready for Year 3.

They all had a fabulous time visiting their new teachers and schools. They took part in a variety of activities including creating information booklets for their new teachers, playing ice-breaker games and touring their new schools. Year 2 are very excited about moving into their junior schools. Miss Bird and Mr McGadie would like to wish them a fabulous summer and a great time in junior school.
