Other Events

Ramsbottom Music Festival

The Chamber Choir have been working very hard to prepare for the AJIS Music Festival on Tuesday 6th March and Ramsbottom Music Festival on Friday 9th March.

Parents are very welcome to support the boys at the Ramsbottom Music Festival. They will be performing between 11.10 and 12.10. It would be lovely to have a few friendly faces in the audience!

World Book Day

Despite the conditions, many boys made it in wearing wonderful costumes for World Book Day. The theme this year was “Classics”, so many costumes were based on modern classics by Roald Dahl, JK Rowling and Marvel Comics. We also had the book fair in school allowing boys to expand their collections and a number of book themed activities throughout the week. As Jorg Luis Borgas said, ““I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.” A sentiment I am sure we can all agree with.

The only way is up

Another fantastic week of climbing at Bury Grammar, watching the boys reaching new heights. It is impressive to see how the boys are learning to belay one another safely, ensuring that their peers are secure. The bravery of each climber increases week on week with the support from the rest our team, leading to even some competitive timings being achieved during a ‘speed climb’.
