Year 7 girls baked a Victoria Sandwich in their Food Technology lesson on Tuesday.
Using margarine, sugar, self raising flour and two eggs, the girls weighed the ingredients and place them in a large glass bowl before using an electric hand mixer to cream the ingredients together until the mixture was of a soft dropping consistency.
Then, after dividing the mixture equally between two sandwich tins and smoothing them out, the girls baked the mixture for 15-20 minutes until they were golden brown.
Once out of the oven, the girls were also able to add jam and cream to create a delicious Victoria Sandwich.
